SAADANI OVERVIEW

Located only 1130 Km north of Dar Es Salaam and west of Zanzibar Island lies the only coastal wildlife sanctuary in East Africa, Saadani National Park. It consists of offers relaxing atmosphere along the coast of Indian Ocean beaches.

Declared a National Park in 2002, Saadani measuring about 1100 sq. km in size, has a diverse population of mammals and birds. Expect to see elephants, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, colobus monkeys, crocodiles, hippos, and the rare Roosevelt sable. While in Saadani, you can choose from wide range of activities like a driving safari, nature walk, or a boat safari in Wami River.
