  • One of the most challenging route, Umbwe Route is really steep with constant straight climbs that require high amount of fitness and stamina. It is hence less visited and crowded.
  • Shira Route begins in the west at the Shira Gate and is also a difficult route to reach to the top. The first section of this route is driven by vehicle as opposed to trekked.
  • The longest trekking route to reach to the top which takes almost 11 days, Northern Circuit Route is also the newest which provides wider opportunities for the summit.
  • Beginning near to the Kenyan border, Rongai Route is scenically impressive that is moderate in terms of difficulty.
  • Regarded as the prettiest trekking route, Lemosho Route goes through a fertile rainforest area with a rich floral ecosystem.
