SHIRA ROUTE

OVERVIEW

Beginning from the west at the Shira Gate, the route of Shira is quite difficult, yet unique in that the first section of the trial is driven as opposed to being hiked. Therefore you may miss out on hiking the rainforests of the Kilimanjaro ecological zones. The route points namely Londorosi gate to shira one, to Shira hut, to Moir hut, to Burranco valley, to Karanga camp, to Barafu camp to Uhuru peak.
