SERENGETI WILDEBEEST SAFARI
OVERVIEW
It is rated as one of the world’s most spectacular natural events – every year over a million wildebeest. Not only does it offer incredible views of the plains dotted with huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle, but the Maasai Rivers are often infested with large crocodiles lying in wait. Visiting the right area in the right season will treat guests to astonishing sightings of this natural phenomenon.
There are two different time period in Tanzania to witness the Great Migration. First is during February and March when the animals in immense numbers can be seen grazing the lands of Southern Serengeti. It is also the calving season and you can see these animals giving birth. The second is between July and September when they cross the river in the northern Serengeti.
After our morning game drive, we have our picnic lunch and coffee in the crater before we return to our afternoon short game drive. Later this afternoon our driver guide will drive to central Serengeti for overnight and chilling ready for the migration searching the next day.
After our picnic lunch and coffee break, we will set off again, searching for wildlife in this awe-inspiring park. Serengeti’s wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses.
